Swiss Haute Horlogerie manufacturer Audemars Piguet is thrilled to announce a new 42 mm Royal Oak Offshore Diver limited to 300 pieces. Similarly to the three Diver models released earlier this year, this limited edition is powered by the Manufacture’s latest selfwinding movement, Calibre 4308. It also sports the new interchangeable strap system and a dial aesthetics fit for the greatest adventures in and out of the water.
Mechanism fit for action
The Royal Oak Offshore Diver limited edition is powered by the Manufacture’s latest automatic movement with second and instant-jump date indication. Calibre 4308 is equipped with a patented setting mechanism that brings stability and precision when adjusting the watch’s function. Its diving scale featured on the dial’s inner rotating ring is activated with a unidirectional click mechanism linked to the 10 o’clock crown. The watch’s sapphire caseback reveals Calibre 4308’s refined finishing techniques, such as “Côtes de Genève,” “traits tirés” and circular graining, as well as the new collection’s dedicated oscillating weight in blackened 22-carat pink gold.
The Royal Oak Offshore Diver is fit for underwater exploration up to a depth of 300 metres as well as for any above-ground outdoors adventures. Thanks to its 60 hours of power reserve, the watch can easily adapt to a few days rest between expeditions.
Two-tone aesthetics
The limited edition boasts an 18-carat white gold case enhanced with a black ceramic bezel and matching crowns at 3 and 10 o’clock. The sapphire and white gold caseback is engraved with “Royal Oak Offshore Limited Edition of 300 Pieces.” Hand-finished with an alternation of satin-brushed and polished surfaces, the case offers a refined frame to the black “Méga Tapisserie” dial adorned with 18-carat white gold hour-markers and hands. The black rotating diving scale ring is complemented with a beige 15-minute zone as well as beige Arabic numerals for a powerful contrast.
Optimum visibility deep down
The Royal Oak Offshore Diver limited edition presents new facetted hour-markers, cut in two distinct sizes for augmented legibility. Long hour-markers indicate the quarter hours (to the exception of the 15-minute mark replaced by the date window), while shorter square hour-markers are used to mark out the 5-minute increments. The luminescent coating on the white gold hour-markers and Royal Oak hands grant optimum visibility in the dark. The larger applied gold AP initials at 12 o’clock replaces the traditional long-form signature for a sportive look down to the last detail.
Sporty interchangeable straps
Following in the footstep of the new Royal Oak Offshore Diver models released in the spring, this limited sports watch is fitted with the Manufacture’s new interchangeable strap system. The interchangeability has been directly integrated into the buckle and case’s studs, in perfect harmony with the case’s aesthetic codes.
The ease and efficiency will allow clients to change the bracelets and buckles of their new timepiece themselves with a quick click and release. The double-push system grants optimum security when the watch is worn on the wrist.
The watch is fitted on a black interchangeable rubber strap, fit for the wildest outdoors adventures, while its second beige interchangeable calfskin strap will add a laid-back, yet refined look.
The 2021 assortment for the Royal Oak Offshore Diver collection also includes rubber straps in khaki, blue and grey shades, as well as two other calfskin leather straps in brown and black for more adventures on dry land.
