Tiffany & Co. presents its 2021 Blue Book Collection in Dubai, marking the first time that the House is showcasing its famed high jewelry collection in the Middle East. To celebrate this milestone, Tiffany & Co. has unveiled the reimagined archival 1939 World’s Fair necklace featuring the over 80-carat Empire Diamond – the jeweler’s most expensive piece ever created.

Tiffany & Co. announced in January that it would reimagine the archival high jewelry necklace, modernizing the original aquamarine design with an over-80-carat, D color, type IIa, internally flawless oval diamond, the largest diamond that the House has ever offered (eclipsed only by the Tiffany Diamond). The recreation of this historical piece represents Tiffany’s legacy of innovative jewelry design; today, the House reveals an unexpected added element of ingenuity: The breathtaking Empire Diamond can be worn not only in the stunning World’s Fair Necklace, but it can also brilliantly convert into a diamond-encrusted ring in a platinum setting, making it uniquely transformable. The 1939 World’s Fair promised “a glimpse into the World of Tomorrow”, while the theme of Dubai Expo 2020 is “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”, both putting a spotlight on the future, making this the ideal moment to reveal such an extraordinary piece.

Blooming with lush botanicals set against a backdrop of contemporary design, organic lines and spectacular views of the Dubai skyline, the exhibition space is inviting and elegant, featuring a color palette inspired by the jewel-toned stained glass of Louis Comfort Tiffany’s famed lamps. One salon features loose stones, including everything from rare colored gemstones to legacy gemstones – morganite, tsavorite and tanzanite – which the jeweler proudly introduced to the world over the course of the 20th century. Another salon is an homage to the House’s legendary designer Jean Schlumberger, featuring his fantastical creations that are infused with wit and curiosity. Uniquely intimate and experiential, the exhibition allows clients to enter the world of Tiffany & Co. high jewelry unlike ever before.
