A heavenly refuge in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat by architect Joe Aoun
Joe Aoun, founder of JA Architecture, started his career in Paris in 2000 after graduating from the School of Architecture L’Ecole d’architecture de la ville et des territoires à Marne-la-Vallée. Since 2003, he has been working on exclusive construction, renovation, rehabilitation and extension projects for high-end villas and residences in South of France, Spain, Dubai, Montenegro and Beirut, creating indoor and outdoor architectures in a contemporary style, while respecting the history and the environment of the place. His agency is both based in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and in Beirut, a mix that allows him to always remain considerate to information and cultures.
Overlooking the Mediterranean coast, this luxurious Roc et Mer villa, designed by architect Joe Aoun, is located between the port of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and the sea. Due to its cubic shape, its yellow stone facades with gray incursions, this contemporary architecture is in a harmonious dialogue with the lighthouse and is fully integrated into the site. Built on a land of 3,770 m2, with 420 m2 of living space and 340 m2 of terraces and outdoor spaces, the house offers a rich scheme honoring the natural relationships between indoor and outdoor spaces. On the ground floor in natural stone, there are four bedrooms with integrated bathrooms, a multipurpose room, a central hall, a club house, a guest shower room and a 87 m2 terrace. The ground floor consists of a winter garden, a dining room, a kitchen and a second bathroom, all surrounded by a 204 m2 terrace. On the first floor are the private areas and a spacious living room which occupies the second level with its terrace. An 84 m2 rooftop terrace offers panoramic views of the villa in an exceptional setting. Symbolizing with excellence the high-end architecture which mixes design, luxury and comfort, this haven of peace is an exceptional place benefiting from a unique location calling for relaxation and comfort.
