When the beach invites itself at home
In Brazil, and more exactly on the edge of the famous Ipanema beach, in Rio de Janeiro, the Brazilian architecture studio Arthur Casas has carried out a breathtaking project, in which the layout of the interior spaces rests, first, on enhancement of the surrounding natural landscape.
The talented team of the architecture office Arthur Casas, composed of the architects Alessandra Mattar, Victoria Chaves and Sabrina Aron, signs a new project, in Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil, located at avenue Vieira Souto, very close to the magnificent beach from Ipanema. This project responds to the client’s request for a second home, where the family can spend a few seasons a year and receive their friends. The plan of the house, spanning 520 m², is fully adapted so that most of the rooms – the five suites, the living room, the dining room, the kitchen and the service area – can be located around the perimeter of the apartment, making the most of the 360º view. Thus, the entrance is placed in the central part of the house and the different rooms are distributed around it which offers each a privileged view. A minimalist and refined aesthetic prevails in the premises, along with a warm, friendly and lively atmosphere, thanks to an arrangement of furniture that skillfully mixes furniture custom-made by the members of the studio with designs from international brands.
