Set in the heart of Australia’s Gold Coast, along the tranquil Currumbin beach, this house, designed by Habitat Studio Architects, stands out for its accentuated whiteness. Perfectly integrating the art of design with the fullness of the environment, it is an ode to architectural harmony.
With a stunning facade adorned with light-colored planks reflecting the sun’s gentle embrace, the buildings in Gold Coast, Australia, trimmed in bright white slats, serve a dual purpose: an exterior with a contemporary touch and a refuge from the scorching western sun. In addition, stone elements are anchored in the structure and in the earth. This dwelling is a tranquil enclave where light, in keeping with the architectural design, creates a space of luminous rays dancing on the stone surfaces and verdant plants that move in unison. In this property, designed by Habitat Studio Architects, the day begins with the breathtaking spectacle of sparkling waters welcoming the dawn. Natural, durable materials, resistant to weather and corrosion, are used in accordance with coastal building codes and regulations, taking into account flood zones, erosion risks and shifting sands. And to counter the effects of salt water, the architects used low-maintenance materials for greater accessibility, and modified the elevations while retaining the logic of multi-level design. Imagine yourself between heaven and earth in a haven far from urban life, within a natural universe devoid of pollution.
