In the city of Merano, Italy, the team of the Italian studio Architecture Monovolume + Design took charge of the design of a magnificent villa, with garden and swimming pool, modern and full of clarity, which has a dazzling view of the tops of the nearby mountain.
In Merano, Italy, the Architecture Monovolume + Design office has skillfully designed a resolutely contemporary duplex, consisting of a ground floor and a basement with a garage. Architects Patrik Pedó and Jury Anton Pobitzer led the project, assisted by their colleagues Benjamin Gänsbacher, Sergio Aguado Hernàndez and Barbara Waldbooth. As for structural engineering, it is carried out by the construction company Baucon Bozen. The house, with 315 m2 of living space, is conceived as two buildings of different levels, connected by internal stairs, in order to better adapt the structure to the relief of the sloping ground. The clean lines of the design are emphasized by the appearance of exposed concrete, pristine white, and the construction of glass walls, which make the entire resort light and airy. The glazed facade, doors and windows are the elements introducing transparency and light into the interior. They all have triple glazing, in order to obtain the best possible comfort. Likewise, the roof is envisaged as a flat roof, covered with a protective gravel. The living spaces open onto a large terrace and a swimming pool, thanks to a floating staircase that leads into a garden with gently undulating curves.
